Activities

Analyse available data relating known weather (climate) data with discharge, soil erosion nutrients and suspended matter in selected Danish rivers and catchments and together with DMI use the developed empirical and dynamic models to establish prognoses for the future. In cooperation with DMI and GI.

Use available data on biological structure and the physico-chemical environment in Danish lakes and link these with known weather and climate variability and thereby establish a conceptual understanding of the linkage between climate and biological responses. In cooperation with DMI.

Use available paleolimnological data to find long-term climate signals in shallow Danish lakes. In cooperation with GEUS and AU.

Carry out a large scale and factorial experiment studying the interactions of nutrients and temperature on the biological structure and ecosystem processes in artificial shallow lakes. In cooperation with FBL.
